NORTH  CAROLINA
EMERGENCY RESERVES
'From The Mountains To The Coast'
( FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE )
Volunteer Corps Seeks Personnel for Disaster Service
currently seeking to expand it's personnel, and is offering membership to
persons who are interested in serving their community and state in times of
disaster. This all-volunteer corps is open to members 18 years of age and
older, who have a desire to serve.

The concept of the NCER is to offer free emergency and disaster training
courses to its membership, in order to have a force of capable and certified
emergency responders for all eventualities. NCER works alongside many
other bonafide disaster agencies statewide. Volunteers have the
opportunity through training to work in a variety of specialty duties,
including mass care and feeding, search and rescue, traffic direction,
disaster response, first aid, communications, and much more.

New units of the organization are being formed on an ongoing basis in all
areas of North Carolina, with the concept being to have local teams of your
friends and neighbors working in your own hometowns, as well as in other
areas where and when help is needed. NCER teams cooperate with the
Emergency Management Division of individual county governments, as
well as other authorized agencies.

Members will qualify for special disaster personnel identification cards and
the right to wear the NCER uniform to identify them as trained
professional-standard volunteers.
