NCER BASIC TRAINING ACADEMY
All members of the NCER are required to attend a weekend Basic Training course.  During Basic Training, members
participate in Drill & Ceremonies, and attend courses in History-Organization and Structure, Rank & Insignia, Uniform &
Awards, Guard Duty/Fire Watch, Heat & Cold Related Injuries and Prevention, Radio Communications, Field Hygiene &
Sanitation, Bushcraft & Improvisation, Traffic Control, and the Incident Command System.
Class of 10-01
On September 17-19, the NCER conducted Basic Training Class 10-01.  During Basic Training,
several new members were sworn in to the North Carolina Emergency Reserves.  These members
included 2LT Sola Bagdon, 2LT Michael Hancock Jr., 2LT Cory Collins and CSM Michael Hibner.
