| NCER BASIC TRAINING ACADEMY |
| All members of the NCER are required to attend a weekend Basic Training course. During Basic Training, members participate in Drill & Ceremonies, and attend courses in History-Organization and Structure, Rank & Insignia, Uniform & Awards, Guard Duty/Fire Watch, Heat & Cold Related Injuries and Prevention, Radio Communications, Field Hygiene & Sanitation, Bushcraft & Improvisation, Traffic Control, and the Incident Command System. |

On September 17-19, the NCER conducted Basic Training Class 10-01. During Basic Training,
several new members were sworn in to the North Carolina Emergency Reserves. These members
